We are pleased to inform you that we have learned that the Canadian Embassy in Beijing has announced in conjunction with the Association of Canadian Community Colleges, that it has started a new STUDY PERMIT (VISA) Application process.
This is very exciting news. In our view, it opens doors to more applications for students from China, who may choose college as a "valid entry point" into post-secondary school education. It will also help to speed up the process for acquiring study permits (visas) for those who qualify.
Community Colleges/University Articulation Agreements
If students decide to enrol in a community college, it offers a number of advantages, including access to a college diploma or certificate, as well as providing them with a ""stepping stone"" to future undergraduate courses at our one or more of our Canadian universities, with whom many colleges have articulation agreements.
For some, where English is not their first language, it is also provides students with a "transitional" route to enhanced English studies, that better prepares them for the rigours of a university education given the importance of English in the curriculum.
We have included some background information for your perusal.
