Who We Are

INFOworks Educational Services Inc. is a Canadian company. The company's President Norm Damaren has thirty-five years experience in education. Prior to starting his business in 1996, he held a senior position as a Superintendent of Education with an Ontario regional school board and served as a policy coordinator with the Ontario Ministry of Education, Learning Programs Secretariat. Since 1998, Norm has travelled extensively throughout China touring schools, speaking at student assemblies and meeting with key education and government officials for the primary purpose of actively promoting Canadian studies abroad.

INFOworks Educational Services Inc. is a virtual company that has positioned itself strategically and globally, by building strong and trusting alliances among associates both in China and Canada, that support each other in their quest for access to high quality educational programs and services in both countries

What We Do

  1. To provide access to educational markets in China and Canada and help with promoting, negotiating and facilitating innovative, collaborative and strategic partnerships and agreements between educational enterprises and institutions in both countries;

  2. To ensure that students in China who choose to pursue studies abroad in Canada are guaranteed access to educational enterprises and institutions that are credible, trustworthy and capable of delivering high quality educational programs and services;

  3. Provide strategic partners who can guarantee students reliable visa advisory services that ensure thoroughness and authenticity - with Letters of Acceptance from reputable universities, colleges and secondary schools. Letters of Acceptance are required to obtain study permits/visas from Canadian Immigration required for extended studies longer than 6 months.

  4. To enable professionals in China seeking training and education, to gain access to Canadian educational enterprises and institutions such as universities, colleges and district school boards that are capable of designing and providing short and long-term creative programs and educational seminars that meet their needs;

  5. To help schools in China recruit competent, qualified and enthusiastic teachers who are prepared to teach English in that country for short-term or extended assignments.

What We Can Do For You

If you are thinking about taking the first step to engage your school system in the field of International Education, but not sure where to begin, we can help. How?

  1. Conducting preliminary research and feasibility studies that offer perspective on the opportunities and challenges of International Education, including the design of an infrastructure that needs to be in place to ensure success;

  2. Helping to facilitate and negotiate the signing of memoranda of understanding and cooperation, including agreements between educational institutions and enterprises in China and district school boards/secondary schools in Canada;

  3. Assisting you with plans for travelling abroad, organizing meetings with key Chinese education officials, setting itineraries, providing interpreters, etc.

  4. Acting as your representative for the recruitment of students who may wish to study abroad in your secondary schools or who may wish to take Pre-University or College Preparation Programs that may be offered by your district school board;

  5. Acting as your representative by actively advertising, marketing and promoting your school board programs to a number of clients in China, such as educational institutions and enterprises, school principals, teachers, etc. - in a manner which accurately and fairly represents your programs, services and requirements;

  6. Providing a high quality of professional service that will reflect favourably on your school district by helping educational enterprises, school principals, teachers and students in China, to selection, preparation and organization of their study abroad program with your district school board and can assist you to recruit teachers of English for their schools in China;

  7. Preparing orientation packages and helping you to understand the cultural protocols that must be followed to ensure success in reaching agreements that are mutually and financially beneficial to both parties;

  8. Acting as a communication link between schools in China and district school boards in Ontario, Canada and assisting with the management and transfer of monies to facilitate payment of programs and services provided by the school board;

  9. Providing to students who may choose your school board - access to visa advisory services, including help with the completion of applications forms, procuring letters of acceptance on their behalf, transfer and validation of student transcripts, etc.;

  10. Helping on an on-going basis with inquiries and status reports as required.
