On September 8, 2008 in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China, Norm Damaren, President - INFOworks International Educational Consulting & Recruitment Services and Zhuo Jiarui, President of the Fujian Provincial Education Association for International Exchange/Fujian Provincial Department of Education signed a major agreement to "pursue activities that will strengthen the relationship and cooperation between educational institutions in Fujian Province of China and similar institutions in Canada." The signing ceremony took place during the 12th Annual China International Fair for Investment and Trade, held in Xiamen.

Dr. Yang Hui, Deputy Director - General, Fujian Provincial Education Department who was instrumental in bringing the two parties together, at the official signing ceremony under the auspices of heralds this "breakthrough." as an "opportunity not only for our students who may wish to study abroad in Canada both short-term and longer term." - but as articulated by Dr. Yang "."n important step for our school administrators and teaching staff to benefit as well - through short-term study leaves and seminars in Canada - that will enhance their knowledge of current practices in western countries that enhance learning and employs creative teaching strategies and evaluation techniques to increase student learning.".

In addition, "we welcome students from Canada to attend Summer Camps in Fujian Province, that we will ensure to be top quality.".
 

INFOworks will serve as the conduit between educational institutions in Fujian Province, identified by the Fujian Provincial Education Association for International Exchange/Fujian Provincial Department of Education as prime "candidates" for travel abroad and like-minded educational institutions in Canada, who may wish to cooperate in activities that will benefit all parties..
 

Among the major areas of pursuit are the following:

• Cultural and Immersion ESL Summer and Winter Camps for Students from China and Canada;

• Recruitment of English teachers and other subject disciplines for schools in Fujian Province;

• Advanced English Language Training and Methodology for "Fujian" Teachers of English;

• Study Tours, Educational, Cultural & Historic - for school administrators and government officials;

• Leadership Training and Development for School Administrators - both in China and Canada; Shadowing Program for Fujian Principals;

• Pre-University Programs - for secondary/middle school students, both in China and Canada;

• Potential joint venture with Community Colleges in Ontario - offering joint certificates and Diplomas in China;

• Practicum Placements in Fujian Province - In cooperation with Faculties of Education;

• Joint Programs between key high schools in Fujian Province and similar institutions in Ontario.
