MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
Signing in Beijing, P.R. CHINA November 7, 2005


On November 7th, 2005, at a formal signing that took place during the Ontario Trade & Investment Mission To China held in Beijing, INFOworks Educational Services Inc. a Kitchener based company, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Beijing International Education Exchange that will enable both parties to pursue cooperative education projects, that promote international understanding and enriched learning opportunities for students who choose to study abroad, including options for teachers and school administrators who wish to participate in professional training and education initiatives offered by public educational institutions in Ontario.

China Ontario Trade & Investment Mission To China

 

Premier Dalton McGuinty and Minister of Economic Development and Trade Joseph Cordiano attended the contract signings on November 7th, 2005 in Beijing and also met with Chinese officials and spoke to Chinese and Ontario business leaders about the benefits of partnerships between the two jurisdictions.

The Beijing International Education Exchange

The Beijing International Education Exchange was founded in July 2000 with the approval of the Beijing Municipal Government. The Beijing International Education Exchange is a non-profit institution and is directly affiliated with the Beijing Municipal Education Commission.

Shared Service Approach

The Beijing International Education Exchange and INFOworks Educational Services Inc. have combined their expertise, experience and resources to provide students who choose to study abroad in Canada, including teachers and school administrators, the benefits of a shared service approach. By forming a strategic alliance, the two enterprises can help students in China, gain access to schools and educational institutions in Ontario that are credible, trustworthy and capable of delivering high quality educational programs and services while offering teachers and school administrators a similar option to meet their specific training and education needs.

Immediate Results

A more detailed agreement was also signed with the Canadian branch of the Beijing International Education Exchange, that enables 22 students in China effective February 1, 2006, access to a designated number of colleges, universities and public secondary schools in Ontario -including Conestoga College, Fanshawe College/King's University U.W.O., Niagara Catholic District School Board and the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board - subject to approval by the Canadian Embassy in Beijing for study permits/visas.

In addition, both enterprises plan to help students gain access to summer and winter camps offered both in China and Ontario.

Professional Training and Education for School Administrators, Principals and Teachers of English

Their cooperation will extend to other areas, including professional training and education for school principals and teachers of English as a Foreign Language from China who wish to learn more about school leadership and methodology.

End Results

This signing between INFOworks Educational Services Inc. and the Beijing International Education Exchange helps to solidify their future cooperation and professional relationship and positions them to work together strategically to provide a comprehensive service package to their clients.

M.O.U. Fanshawe College, London, Ontario/Beijing Institute of Education

During the Trade Mission in Beijing, INFOworks Educational Services Inc. helped facilitate the signing of an MOU between Fanshawe College, London and the Beijing Institute of Education that may lead to a number of initiatives - beginning with the training of college and technical school administrators. It is agreed that INFOworks Educational Services Inc. Canada will provide strategic assistance for BIE and FC to ensure that an effective partnership evolves so that both parties to this agreement gain beneficial educational benefits for their respective educational institutions.

Other Signings

Outside the framework of the Ontario China Trade Mission, INFOworks Educational Services Inc. signed similar MOU's with the Liaodong Canadian International School of China, Shenyang, Liaoning Province to serve as their Senior International Education Advisor/School Supervisor and a unique advisory role with the Fujian Fly Dragon Chinese and English School, located in southern China in Fujian Province, to provide teachers and help build links to Canadian schools in Ontario, who may be interested in partnering with them in a Pre-University and College Dual Diploma Program.
